New Year, New Me (?)

Haha, what a joke
It's impossible for me to change
I'm PERFECT just the way I am.
Except when I obsess over my grades.
And sort of ignore my friends when there's school work.
Because I'm scared of not getting into college.
Of being a failure.

& I know it sounds stupid, but I'm scared of falling out of the top 10 in the class. You see, my parents were A+ students, and they want me to be one too.

Actually, maybe Penelope hates me because I hate her.
Hmm. I've never thought about that possibility.
Oh well. More on this tomorrow.

Penelope is stupid.
She hasn't even talked to me once this vacation.
Why, you ask?
I have no idea. I tried to call her but voicemail came up.
Oh well. I never really liked her, anyways.
Stupid 3rd grade self. Why did you befriend that girl sitting there??

Also I'll be able to post more often. Maybe every day!

Animated Movies

You know, there's a lot of similarities between the Ice Age movies and the Shrek movies. A lot.
Let's compare the characters...
Anti-social male main character who likes to be left alone- Shrek and Manny
Serious sidekick who is originally an enemy (and also get a love interest in the later movies)- Puss and Diego
Lovable (?), stupid and foolish sidekick- Donkey and Sid
Main Character's love interest who is playful and young (also main character dislikes them at first)- Fiona and Ellie
So, as you see, the characters are pretty much the same. Just with different names and faces.
There are some plot similarities, too.
Foolish sidekick follows main character around against his will and causes problems for main character.
Main character gets into fight with love interest and then realizes how much he misses her and yadda yadda

So all I'm saying is that it wouldn't hurt them to introduce some original characters...with more depth.

Vacations and Physical Description...???

I'm sorry I disappeared for a while. I was on vacation at Disneyland. It was really cool.
Or maybe I didn't go.

On another note, it doesn't feel like Christmas. I don't know why, but it just doesn't.

I also will give you a physical description of me, so you can imagine me better.
I'm tall. Taller than the average person my age.
I'm not petite. Not fat, but certainly not petite.
I have black hair with purple streaks. Black is not my natural color though.
My hair is waist-length.
My skin is pale. I hate that pale skin.
I sunburn easily, so I can't get a tan. Ever.
There. It's up to you to decide what's true or not.

On the subject of concerts

Good morning, everyone! I'm up and listening to Pandora. The Adele radio. Actually, I think I'll switch to Coldplay radio. I just did. Coldplay is the best.
Marina's having a concert close to me in December. Tickets are only $40 each. But of course, my parents don't understand why I like her so much. Plus they would never let me listen to her if they actually heard her music, because she swears quite often.
I would also love to go to a Coldplay concert, but of course their tour JUST ended in December. And the tickets were $400, and the concert was in New Zealand. Ugghhh I want to go to a concert soo bad I've never been to one.

My best friend's name is Penelope. Except I call her Penny, along with everyone else. She's annoying. But I suppose I must stay with her. I'm too nice to ditch her.
Well, I suppose 'nice' isn't the word. I care too much about my reputation. There's the word.
Anyways, if anyone's there, have you heard of Marina & the Diamonds? Just wondering. Leave a comment if you have. I want to know how well-known she is. I know 3 Marina fans Diamonds. I'm a Diamond.
Even though I don't like the actual stone mineral thing. I'm more of a pearl girl.

Basic information...

So here are the basics...I won't bore you with a biography of my life.

Name: Tanya (It's not my real name, but we'll pretend it is.)

Age: Old enough to be in high school. 

Location: USA. I'm not specifying where. 

Likes: I'm a Diamond (Kudos to you if you know that that means). Coldplay. Writing. Boring people with my endless chatter. Reading. Fairy tales. Etc., etc.

Other stuff: I have an awful habit of chewing on my nails. I've memorized most of Marina's songs. I love music. I keep a diary. I have an endless stream of thoughts, as do most humans. 

There is no death.  

Yes. You might be wondering why my URL is 'Tanya's lie of a life." Well, first of all my real name is not Tanya. But that's what you can call me. And my life isn't a lie. It's just that here I'll be posting my desirable self, and not my real self. The me I want the internet to see.
